Mike Wagner, Facility Administrator at Richmond Pines, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Mike has spent over 20 years in the long-term care industry. His journey began as a Certified Activities Director, where he developed a passion for enriching the lives of residents. Over the years, Mike transitioned into Marketing and Admissions, honing his skills in building relationships and serving families.

Born in Fayetteville and raised in various locations across the US and Europe due to his father’s military service, Mike brings a unique perspective to his role. What drives him in this industry is the opportunity to witness the success stories of those they serve, making a meaningful impact on their lives every day. Under this new beginning at Richmond Pines, Mike is committed to serving the local community with compassion, integrity, and excellence.

Director of Nursing

Leah Smeigh, our Director of Nursing, brings 17 years of dedicated healthcare experience to her role. Starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and working her way through nursing school, Leah’s journey led her to various departments, including medical-surgical units and the ER. Despite her experiences in hospice and emergency care, Leah’s passion for geriatrics has always called to her. Joining the Principle LTC team in 2019 (our management company), Leah found her calling in long-term care, eventually rising to the role of Director of Nursing. Leading our nursing team with compassion and kindness, Leah fosters a caring environment where residents are treated like family.

Frances “Fran” Jacobs

Admissions Director & Social Worker

With over 30 years of dedicated service in Long-Term Care (LTC), Frances “Fran” Jacobs serves as both our Admissions Director and Social Worker, bringing a depth of experience and commitment to her dual roles. Beginning her healthcare career in 1990, Fran started in environmental services before transitioning through various roles in dietary, certified nursing assistant, and medication aid. Recognizing the importance of wound care, she pursued additional training and certification in this specialized area.

Fran holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree and has served as a social worker for Richmond Pines, where she focused on ensuring the well-being of residents and families. Now, as our Admissions Director, Fran’s primary focus is on helping transition new residents to Richmond Pines with their goals at the forefront. She works tirelessly to alleviate the administrative burden for families, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition process. Her dedication to residents and families continues to be the driving force behind her commitment to providing exceptional care and support. Fran looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of those entrusted to our care.
